This post reviews some of Dave Ramsey’s financial peace programs. I love that the blogger mentions “the spiritual side of managing your finances. “If nothing else, the idea of sharing your wealth is healthy from a psychological perspective.” Sharing wealth is wonderful and leads to more prosperity.
This was a great post! There is so much turbulence in the market today, and people need peace of mind more than ever. I wanted to offer your readers a link to another blogger who is doing great work. He writes about our 'childhood money messages' and how the best approach to stability in today's market is to resist letting these emotions control our buying/selling habits. It is really fascinating work, and something you should all check out. His name is Spencer Sherman, and you can view his blog at http://www.curemoneymadness.com/blog.

I actually think that this part of Dave's teachings is egregiously invalid. Dave has given wonderful financial advice for the most part, including nitpicking the difference between deductibles on insurance policies. But doesn't anyone else looking at this from a secular point of view see a problem with advising people to give away 10% of their gross incomes? I am certainly not blessed with a super high income, but I find the idea of "donating" $960 per month obscene, especially when it could be invested for my children's future use.

In reference to the spiritual side, excellent points. There is a reason it is called "cash flow". Money is meant to be moving. The point when we start trying to store it up with out giving is usually when it begins to dwindle away. It truly is a spiritual principle.
